I certainly hope that you have listened to the previous four parts of this presentation And if you have, then I hope that you have made the decision to receive Jesus as your personal Savior. And if you have just now, this instant, decided that you want to be saved by making Jesus your personal Savior, please join me in prayer as you confess with your mouth and believe in your heart. Let us pray. Heavenly Father, i am a sinner. I have done and said wrong things. I believe that you sent yours one and only perfect Son, Jesus, who took the punishment for my sins and died for me. Heavenly Father, i believe that Jesus has forgiven me of all my sins and will change my heart from the inside out, and now I choose to receive God's gift of eternal life. Before we move on, i would like to comment or address those of you who still don't believe in Jesus. Mm-hmm. Well, as you can see, i'm all grown up. Now I live on my own, i'm making my, i got my own job, making my own decisions. I mean, how much more grown up can I be?
Speaker 2:
Right, i don't mean that kind of grown up. I mean that your spirit needs to grow and you will start feeling different.
Speaker 1:
Yeah, well, how does my spirit grow?
Speaker 2:
By learning more about God. Remember God created you, so he knows everything there is to know about you, but he wants you to get to know him better so that you can grow in your relationship with him, spiritually relationally.
Speaker 1:
Well, that's kind of deep. How do you know so much about God? How did like, how did you learn so much?
Speaker 2:
That's because I listen to other people who know about him and also I read the word The word. What word? The word is another name for the Bible, or Holy Bible. It's God's word to you and for you. It's been referred to as the book of basic instructions before leaving earth.
Speaker 1:
Okay, well, that's a clever way of putting it.
Speaker 2:
Yes, So a part of your spiritual growth and my spiritual goal is to study the word of God. which I study, the word of God, and then I pray too. Why pray? Well, it's like this When I pray, i'm just talking to God, just like I talk to you. The Bible says that God calls us his friend. So true friends usually talk to each other, don't they?
Speaker 1:
Uh-huh. So now that I'm saved, I need to grow and get to know God better by listening to people who already believe and know about God.
Speaker 2:
Yeah, and you can find these people everywhere, but you'll find a lot of them in the churches or on the internet, like YouTube or Facebook. That's where I meet most of them. The guy that gave me this T-shirt goes to church, but you can find him on the internet and Facebook. he has an Instagram account and all those other social media.
Speaker 1:
Uh-huh, and I also need to read the Bible and I need to. Let me see.
Speaker 2:
Okay, here's an easy way to remember how to grow in the spirit. Think of the letters G-R-O-W.
Speaker 1:
That spells grow.
Speaker 2:
Right. W-g would be for go to church, sunday school, small groups, conventions, mission trips, internet videos, wherever you can learn about God. R is for read your Bible and don't forget to pray. O is for obey God's word. W would be for W is for be a witness and tell your friends, your family and others about Jesus. You know kind of like what I'm doing.
Speaker 1:
Okay, well, i'm glad I'm saved, but even though I'm glad I'm saved, what's so important about being saved?
Speaker 2:
Because it makes all the difference between heaven and hell. Now that you know the gospel truth and you believe it in your heart and you have confessed it out loud, if you were to die today, where do you think you will go? There's two choices heaven, or hate.
Speaker 1:
Oh, i know I would go to heaven, oh. Yeah and why would?
Speaker 2:
God, let you into heaven.
Speaker 1:
Because of the Bible verse. That Bible verse that you mentioned, i think it was Romans something. Romans 10 9. Yes, said something about Confessing and believing that Jesus died for me and was raised from the grave, then I am saved, you got it. So let me get this straight, since I'm, since I already know some people that have died recently. If they died without choosing Jesus Christ as their personal savior, they couldn't get into heaven.
Speaker 2:
Sorry to say, but nope and no way. And John 14, 6 the Bible tells you that Jesus is the only way to heaven. For example, i live in the boonies, like way out in the country, about an hour away from the nearest city. So there's only one way and one road to get you there, to my house. All other roads may lead you to somewhere, but they won't lead you to my house. So Jesus is the only way and the only road to heaven.
Speaker 1:
Well, glad I'm going to heaven.
Speaker 2:
